   Epidemiological studies suggest that type 2 diabetes mellitus  is strongly  associated with AD and cognitive impairment The aim of our study is to estimate  causal effect of diabetes on clinically diagnosed AD, autopsy-confirmed AD, and  autopsy-confirmed cerebrovascular pathologies using causal  inference methods.
